Beanworks Seeds & Grains is proud to propose you their new project:

Starting from April 2015 we will distribute Premium quality Cambodian Organic Jasmine rice , equal in quality to Thai Hom Mali rice.

The project started a few years ago with the transition from virgin land into agricultural organic rice fields. Since then, a new warehouse and processing facility has been developed, exclusively dedicated to organic rice. The entire project is a cooperation with nearly 2000 small local farmers in the province Preah Vihear in Cambodia. These farmers cultivate the Jasmine risce in an area along the mountain which is located on the border with Thailand’s provinces Surin and Ubon Thani, where the best Thai Hom Mali is grown.

To guarantee the best quality, only premium jasmine seeds are being used. Based on 18 distinct markers for alleles expressing fragrance of Jasmine rice it was determined that it shows a 100% identical pattern with the famed Thai Hom Mali. (DNA analytical proof)

The planting is in May-June and harvest in November-January.

Furthermore, the project is certified by an internationally renowned surveyor; ECOCERT; Such in order to guarantee the organic status.

The factory is now HACCP certified, and will be ISO 22000 certified next year, as well as Fair Trade.

Immediately after production/before shipment, the organic rice will get on-site CO² treatment for two weeks.

From February 11th until February 14th, Beanworks Seeds & Grains was present at the largest Organic food fair in the world: the Biofach in Nürnberg, Germany.

With over 44.000 visitors from 136 different countries, it has been a great opportunity to showcase our productrange the the entire organic industry and meet all of our organic suppliers and customers at one place.
Of course, we also met a lot of interesting new contacts and came across many new opportunities.

Because we see a significant growth in our organic sales, we decided to go to the exhibition with the the entire Beanworks team. Which in the end, proved to be a necessity.
During the first 3 days of the fair, all of us were fully occupied at our own booth from opening untill closure.
Luckily on Saturday, because it was less busy, some of us were able to visit the other halls and see how alife the organic world is nowadays!

For more information on the fair and pictures, please visit https://www.biofach.de/en/

Hope to see you all at our next exhibition: ANUGA 2015 in Köln from 10 to 14th October.
